Upcoming nights

Thursday, August 14, 2026
Friday, October 9, 2026

From October onward we move to a monthly rhythm. Future dates will be announced here.

Tyndale University Chapel
3377 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M2M 3S4

Doors 6:45pm · Begins promptly at 7:30pm · Ends around 10:00pm

Seating is first-come, first-served, so come early. Arriving at 6:45 isn't just about getting a seat — that stretch before 7:30 is when people talk, catch up and meet each other. It's part of the night, not a waiting room.

What a night actually is

A GREATER THAN night is about three hours long and it moves through four things.

We start with worship — sung worship, as a room, for a good while. Not a warm-up for the real thing. It is the thing.

A GREATER THAN worship leader singing with both arms raised at the front of the chapel, with the band and drummer behind him under red stage lighting.

Then Pastor Ty preaches. A sermon, straightforwardly: an open Bible and a message.

Then comes what we call the prayer pit. People come forward to the front and receive prayer from our prayer team. You can bring anything — something you're carrying, a decision, a relationship, grief, or physical healing. Nothing is too small and nothing is too much.

People gathered at the front of the chapel during the prayer pit, praying together and embracing, while others stand watching from the pews.

Then we close the night the way we opened it: back into worship.

That's it. There's no offering pressure, no sign-up sheet at the door, no one working the room.

On prayer for healing. We pray for healing, and we believe God heals — we've seen it and we'll keep asking. We also want to say this plainly, because it matters: we will never ask you to stop or delay medical treatment or medication. Your doctor and your medication are not in competition with your faith. Come and let us pray with you, and keep taking care of yourself.

First time here?

Most people who walk in have never been to one of these. Here's what to expect.

Three people talking and laughing together before a GREATER THAN worship night begins, one wearing a KING JESUS cap.

What to wear: nothing in particular. Wear what you'd wear anywhere else.

Will I get singled out? No. Nobody is going to point you out, call you to the front, ask you to introduce yourself, or make you stand up as a first-time visitor. You can sit at the back and take the whole thing in.

Do I have to go up for prayer? Only if you want to. Plenty of people go up. Plenty of people don't. Both are completely normal and nobody is watching to see which one you are.

What if I need to leave? Leave. Whenever you need to, for whatever reason. You don't owe anyone an explanation and no one will stop you.

Do I need a ticket? Yes — a free one. Capacity is limited, so the free ticket is how we know roughly how many people to expect. If you grab one, please try to come.

For families

All ages are welcome, and we mean that literally.

We should be straight with you about one thing: there is currently no separate children's ministry. There's no kids' program running in another room. Children stay in the chapel and worship alongside everyone else, with you.

For some families that's exactly what they want. For others it's good to know in advance. Either way, you won't be the only one — and no one is going to give you a look if your child is being a child.

What people have said

In April's worship night, I received God's word for complete healing. Last worship night, I came with nothing but gratitude because I am living in that healing today. Thank You, Jesus, for Your faithfulness.

Since August of 2025 I was getting sick repeatedly maybe 2 times a month and then in April someone on the prayer team prayed for me and since that night I have gotten sick once and have been healed! Thank you Jesus!!

Hello, I just wanted to share that last Friday was incredible and felt the sweet presence of God in that place of worship! I also want to share that I had a major problem with sleep since January and always felt anxious every night when I head to bed... But someone prayed for me on Friday... i believe it's either Sunday or Monday night my sleep has been better and I can tell that there's a shift in my body... I don't have those anxious thoughts anymore if whether I'm going to be able to sleep or not! Jesus healed me. Praise God

How these nights are paid for

A full room of people standing with hands raised at a GREATER THAN worship night.

One hundred percent of clothing sales at GREATER THAN Christian Clothing fund these nights. Not a portion — all of it.

That's why the nights are free, and that's why there's a clothing store attached to a ministry. When you buy a hoodie, you're paying for someone else's seat in this room.
